There's a new interview with John Clark in the November 2016 NYC Jazz Record, by Anders Griffen

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JAZZ GROUP “THE ODD COUPLE QUINTET” TO APPEAR IN GREENFIELD & CHARLEMONT, MA. FRENCH HORN AND BASSOON TO FRONT PERFORMANCE. New York, NY – June 10, 2013: JOHN CLARK (French Horn) and MICHAEL RABINOWITZ (Bassoon) will perform as members of a new quintet playing original compositions and jazz arrangements of classical works at THE MOHAWK TRAILS CONCERTS in Charlemont on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 4:00 PM and at THE ARTS BLOCK in Greenfield on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 8:00 PM. The new group is aptly named since the two instruments are truly an “odd couple” to front a jazz group. Clark and Rabinowitz are arguably the leading jazz players of these difficult instruments, and Clark comments: “We weren’t thrown out of our traditional roles (in the orchestra) the way Oscar and Felix were ignominiously thrown out of their homes. We boldly set out on this perilous journey and we defy critics to call our instruments odd!!” Members of the OCQ are: JOHN CLARK (French Horn), a jazz and freelance musician in New York City who has performed and/or recorded with Gil Evans, McCoy Tyner, the Mingus Orchestra, the Heath Brothers, Jaco Pastorius, among many others; MICHAEL RABINOWITZ (Bassoon), who has worked with artists such as Joe Lovano, Wynton Marsalis, Elvis Costello and is a founding member of the Charles Mingus Orchestra; JEROME HARRIS (Guitar), who has recorded and/or toured with Sonny Rollins, Jack DeJohnette, Don Byron. and Bill Frisell, among many others; PETE LEVIN (Piano / Keyboards) who initially gained fame playing synthesizer with artists such as Carly Simon, Paul Simon, Annie Lennox, Gil Evans, Miles Davis and John Scofield; MARTY JAFFEE (Bass), who is a winner of the 2012 YoungArts Award, a program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts that identifies and assists emerging artists / MARK EGAN (Bass) on July 4th, who is considered to be one of the most respected and in-demand electric bassists today, and who has recorded with Sting, Roger Daltry, Marianne Faithful, John McLaughlin, Pat Metheny, among many many others; and ABE FOGLE (Drums), currently working with Rob Thomas of ‘Matchbox Twenty,’ and who has also toured and/or performed with Kenny Garrett, George Coleman, Kool and the Gang, D’Angelo, Kelis, to name just a few.
